  1. Me and my parents decided to do a "party rank" of this CD where me and my parents each ranked each song on this CD a ranking from 0-10 (fractions included). Then the scores were added up and the songs were ranked by that new score.

    The ranking is:
    #13 – Sangoma (30:13, score of 18)
    #12 – Mbube (5:56, score of 19)
    #11 – Munomuno (25:00, score of 19.5)
    #10 – Hendry (21:06, score of 21.5)
    #9 – Hello Hello (9:26, score of 21.5)
    #8 – Kalimba (17:21, score of 22.5)
    #7 – Sing Lo-Lo (13:42, score of 22.5)
    #6 – Langa Mo (39:32, score of 23.5)
    #5 – Battu (0:00, score of 24)
    #4 – Laba Laba (32:34, score of 24)
    #3 – Jambo Bwana (2:40, score of 26)
    #2 – Hoya Hoye (28:45, score of 26)
    #1 – Barco Di Papel (36:00, score of 26)

On other Putumayo CD videos on Youtube, I've posted similar comments (since my family has done "party ranks" of other CDs too)

Objection: How are Langa Mo, Battu, and Laba Laba above Sing Lo-Lo?

  2. I used to work at Festival of the Lion King at Walt Disney World and a few of these songs would play in the music loop that played outside. I haven't heard these songs in years, they're fucking beautiful.

  3. now tell me why they call it "african" and "asian" as in the whole continent but they dont call the other albums "america" or "europe" 😐

  4. I send my Momma music to cjeer her up and it makes me smile picturing her dancing to it! She is going to love this!! Thank you for sharing! 😍👂🏾🎶🌍🌞💃🏾🥰
